The presentation this month was given by member Chief Paul White Eagle on Native American Art and some history of the tribe. Paul gave a very informative talk on "What to look at in Native American Art". Two main things he stressed were subject matter and most important was color. Different colors have various meaning depending on the tribe. He explained the colors and their meaning of his tribe vs. other tribes. He also showed several examples of Southwestern Art by different artists and critiqued each example.

The presentation this month was given by Dr. Dave Baird on woodcarving and bronzes. Dr. Baird is a professor at SEMO University where he teaches technical graphics and vocational teacher education in the department of Industrial and Engineering Technology. Dr. Baird gave a very interesting talk about the processes and creative aspects of several of his woodcarvings and bronzes and answered many questions from the Guild members.
